TEXAS DONOR ALERT:
As of March 14th, 2025, there is a temporary ban on donor movement out of Texas that is in place with an indefinite end date. For this reason, we will not be able to honor Willed Texan donors that have registered with our program, nor can we accept new donors that loved ones wish to donate to our program at the time of their passing. AGR, along with all the other AATB-Accredited NADOs, are doing all that we can to try and change this decision made by the Texas Funeral Service Commission (TFSC). We encourage you to contact the TFSC at 512-936-2474, as well as your local elected officials, to convey the harm that this is causing.
REGISTERED DONORS NOW TERMINALLY ILL AND/OR BEING TRANSITIONED TO HOSPICE:
If you are currently a registered donor with our program and are now terminally ill, imminently dying, and/or transitioning to hospice care, please call us ASAP so that we may review your information and update our records.
COVID-19 NOTICE
AGR has, for the most part, resumed routine operations. However, it is important to note that under all circumstances, the acceptance of any deceased person is contingent upon meeting AGR’s current donor safety and suitability criteria at the time of death (whether already enrolled in the registry or not). Donor acceptance criteria are subject to change and there may be additional considerations. For example, recent infection with COVID-19 could impact a donor’s eligibility.
Please contact our Donor & Family Services Department at 1-800-300-5433 for the most comprehensive, up-to-date information.
